Nankhatai with Mirale Premium Tea Masala

Unique and tasty cookie variations from Indian cuisine to match Indian taste buds. It is a popular Indian dessert snack recipe, that is typically served with a cup of coffee or tea. Made with just a few ingredients, this Nankhatai recipe is light, flaky, tender, crumbly, and literally will melt in your mouth. Usually It is flavored with cardamom but we are using Mirale Tea Masala to give a burst of flavours.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup All purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Chickpea flour (besan)
- 1/4 cup Sooji (Semolina)
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Mirale Premium Tea Masala
- 1/2 cup Ghee Semi-solid stage
- GARNISHES- Pistachios, Rose Petals, and Mirale Tea Masala
Instructions:
- In a bowl whisk ghee and sugar with a spoon or whisk until creamy, light, and pale.
- Add all the dry ingredients into the ghee-sugar mixture.
- Combine everything using a spatula, then use your hands to bring the dough together. Do not knead the dough.
- If the dough looks dry, add a teaspoon of ghee and gently work the dough until it comes together.
- Pinch a lime-sized portion of the dough. Roll it between your palms to form a smooth round shape. Flatten them slightly.
- Using a knife, make a criss-cross pattern in the middle. You can also make a little indentation in the center instead of a criss-cross pattern.
- Garnish and Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 12 to 16 minutes. It might take a little less or more time for you. Keep an eye out after 12 minutes.
